Exploring Canada’s Rockies in Autumn 🍁

Image
In the autumn of 2023, after exploring Toronto , reconnecting with family and friends, and marveling at the iconic Niagara Falls , we flew to Calgary. The flight from Toronto took about 4.5 hours. Upon arrival, we rented a car from Calgary Airport and began our scenic drive to Lake Louise, which is around two hours away. We were filled with excitement as we anticipated experiencing Canada’s famous national parks. We chose to stay at the Lake Louise Inn, a charming hotel located in the picturesque village of Lake Louise. This spot is perfectly situated as a hub for exploring nearby national parks such as Banff, Yoho, Glacier, and Kootenay. Entry to these parks requires a park pass, which we had purchased in advance and displayed on the car dashboard—a necessity for passing checkpoints. Toronto, the vibrant metropolis nestled on the shores of Lake Ontario, is a treasure trove of diverse experiences. From soaring skyscrapers to serene natural escapes, here are some destinations we explored during our trip to this bustling Canadian city in autumn of 2023: 1. CN Tower CN Tower is the most noticeable landmark in Toronto. The panoramic views of the city from its observation deck are great. But are they worth $50 is debatable. I gave it a miss 😅. 2. Nathan Phillips Square This bustling square at the heart of the city is home to Toronto's iconic City Hall. The 'TORONTO' sign in the middle of the square is very popular for taking photos. 3. Eaton Centre Eaton Centre is Toronto's premier shopping destination. The sub-way station is conveniently located inside t...

The allure of Niagara Falls is timeless, drawing in millions of visitors each year to witness the breathtaking natural wonder that straddles the border between Canada and the United States .  The Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls are two of the three waterfalls collectively known as Niagara Falls. My recent trip to the Canadian side of the falls was nothing short of awe-inspiring, packed with unforgettable experiences that showcased the raw power and beauty of this iconic destination. Arrival at Niagara Falls Niagara Falls is also the name of the city located on the Canadian side of the famous waterfalls. The journey began with an early morning bus ride from Toronto. T he anticipation of seeing the falls up close mounted with every passing minute. The bus stopped right in front of the falls & what a sight it was! We had booked a room at Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa with a view of the falls. It was money spent well. This was the panoramic view from th...
